Searching for items and shops

With over millions of items for sale, you’re bound to find something you love.

If you’re just browsing, try using the categories at the top of the site.

If you have a more specific idea of what you want, use the Search for items and shops field at the top of the site.

If you know a particular shop’s name, you can enter it in the Search field.

Before you purchase

  • Create an account. It’s quick and free. Just click here to Create a Free Account.
  • Look over the shop’s policies by clicking the Policies link in on any shop’s homepage. Check to see if they accept returns and exchanges, offer shipping upgrades, or give refunds.

Contact the seller

Have a question about an item or order? Email us the requirement at [email protected]. We can help you with questions like:

  • Do you have this in another size or color?
  • Can you ship this faster?
  • When can I expect my order?

Shipping

  • On a listing, click shop policies in the listing overview. Here you’ll see the shipping rates. Each seller decides how they ship.
  • Some sellers offer a faster shipping upgrade you can choose in your cart.
  • Email us with the product image in case you wish to avail a faster shipment service.

Ready to check out?

Select Buy it now on the listing to purchase just that item right away.
Otherwise, click Add to cart and either Keep shopping to go back to the shop
or Proceed to checkout.

Payment methods

It’s up to each seller what payment methods they accept, so this can vary.

You may be able to pay with:

  • Credit/Debit card
  • Bank transfer
  • E-Wallet
  • Other (You can contact us to choose a different payment mode)

If you’ve got a coupon code from your seller, click Apply shop coupon code for your item in your cart. You can only use a coupon code in the shop that offers it.

Leave a review

Reviews are really important to sellers for building their reputation. It also lets other buyers know about your purchasing experience.

Please know that we recommend contacting the seller first if you’re unhappy with anything.

Tips for Buying Safely on Skilltivate

Here are some best practices to help ensure safe purchases on Skilltivate

Overall, use your best judgment. If something seems shady or too good to be true, it’s best not to risk it.

Credit card safety

  • Never give your full credit card number, social security number, or password in an email, Skilltivate Conversation, or over the phone.
  • If you are making a transaction in person, do not speak your credit card information aloud. Be sure to sign for the transaction and request a receipt.
  • Check your credit card statement regularly to track your spending and card activity.
  • Keep track of your credit card: who is authorized to use it, and who has access to it.

On Skilltivate

  • Check a seller’s reviews and shop policies before purchase, and send a Skilltivate Conversation before buying if you have questions or concerns.
  • Notify us at [email protected] if you see a credit card charge you can’t find in your account. Our specialists can help you investigate it.
  • Keep your transaction on Skilltivate i.e on Paytm (as we have integrated through them). We can’t verify or assist with payments made outside of Skilltivate Payments.
  • If you receive a suspicious email claiming to be from Skilltivate, forward it to us at [email protected].
  • If you supply materials for a custom order from a shop, you do so at your own risk.
  • In some circumstances, Skilltivate may use a third-party encryption service, Send Safely, to securely request additional information to confirm a transaction, such as a copy of government-issued photo ID

Internet/Computer safety

  • Change your passwords regularly. The more complex a password is, the better you’re protected.
  • If you share your computer or device, sign out of any website accounts before letting others use it.

Skilltivate excludes all the liabilities by specifying that Skilltivate is not and cannot be a party to or control in any manner any transaction between the Website’s Users. 

Contract: All commercial/contractual terms are offered by and agreed to between Buyers and Sellers alone. Skilltivate does not have any control or does not determine or advise or in any way involve itself in the offering or acceptance of such commercial/contractual terms between the Buyers and Sellers. 

Representation:Skilltivate does not make any representation or Warranty as to specifics (such as quality, value, scalability, etc.) of the products or services proposed to be sold or offered to be sold or purchased on the Website. Skilltivate does not implicitly or explicitly support or endorse the sale or purchase of any products or services on the Website. Skilltivate accepts no liability for any errors or omissions, whether on behalf of itself or third parties. 

Breach of Contract:Skilltivate is not responsible for any non-performance or breach of any contract entered into between Buyers and Sellers. Skilltivate cannot and does not guarantee that the concerned Buyers and/or Sellers will perform any transaction concluded on the Website. Skilltivate shall not and is not required to mediate or resolve any dispute or disagreement between Buyers and Sellers. 

Warranty: Skilltivate does not make any representation or warranty as to the item-specifics (such as legal title, creditworthiness, identity, etc.) of any of its Users. Skilltivate advises to independently verify the bona fides of any particular. 

Right, Title or Interest over product: Skilltivate does not hold any right, title or interest, nor have any obligations or liabilities in respect of any contracts entered into between buyers and sellers. Skilltivate does not take any responsibility for unsatisfactory or delayed performance of services or damages or delays as a result of products which are out of stock, unavailable or back ordered. 

Bipartite contract:Skilltivate is only providing a platform for communication and it is agreed that the contract for sale of any of the products or services shall be a strictly bipartite contract between the Seller and the Buyer. 

Limitation of Liability: Skilltivate shall not be liable in any special, incidental, direct or consequential damages in connection to terms of use, even if the concerned user has informed in advance about the possibility of damages. 

Payment 

While availing any of the payment method/s available on the Website, Skilltivate will not be responsible or assume any liability, whatsoever in respect of any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly because of: 

  1. Lack of authorization for any transaction/s, or 
  2. Exceeding the present limit mutually agreed by You and between “Bank/s”, or 
  3. Any payment issues arising out of the transaction, or 
  4. Decline of transaction for any other reason/s 

 

Disputes (Resolutions) Policy 

At Skilltivate, has a Dispute Resolution process in order to resolve disputes between Buyers and Sellers. 

Buyer Protection Program 

Situations where Buyer Protection Program Works: 

  1. In case of a dispute where the Seller is unable to provide a refund or a replacement, Skilltivate will actively work towards reaching a resolution. 
  2. The Buyer Protection Program covers Buyers who are unable to successfully resolve their dispute with the Seller or are not satisfied the resolution provided by the Seller. 
  3. The Buyer can write to [email protected] if the issue with the Seller is not resolved. Skilltivate’s Customer Support team will look into the case to check for possible fraud and if the Buyer has been blacklisted/blocked from making purchases on the Website. Only after verifying these facts, a dispute can be registered. 
  4. In due course of resolution, Skilltivate’s Customer Support Team will facilitate a conference call including the Seller and the Buyer. 
  5. When a dispute has been raised, Skilltivate may provide both the parties access to each other’s Display Names, contact details including email addresses and other details pertaining to the dispute. Buyers and Sellers are subject to final consent from Skilltivate for settling the dispute. 

If you are a buyer then you are subject to following restrictions: 

  1. There is a limitation period of 45 days in which you have to file the complaint. 
  2. The first step which a buyer should do is to contact skilltivate to resolve the dispute.  
  3. Buyers can make a maximum of 5 claims per year on Skilltivate. If the claim was withdrawn, it is not counted. The coverage amount will be limited to ₹50,000. 
  4. Buyers are not entitled to immediate refund of money or replacement of the product. Skilltivate will be first verifying the dispute and will be processing the claims that are valid and genuine. 
  5. Claims related to ‘Buyer remorse’ (i.e. instances where products are bought by the Buyer by mistake or where the Buyer chooses to change his/her mind with regard to the product purchased by him) will not be entertained through this program. 
  6. (Disclaimer) Don’t initiate invalid or false claim or don’t provide incomplete or misleading information because Skilltivate reserves right to initiate civil and/or criminal proceeding against you in these cases. 
  7. If there is a delay in shipment or delivery of the item by seller then you can file a complaint to  Skilltivate through this mechanism. 

 

By agreeing to the terms and conditions of Skilltivate then you are agreeing to that fact that Skilltivate is an online platform that enables you to purchase products listed on the website at the price indicated therein at any time for any location, herein you further agree that Skilltivate is only a facilitator and is not and cannot be a party to or control in any manner any transactions on the website. Sale of products on the website shall be bipartite contract between you and the sellers in Skilltivate.in
